Project Challenge

Leadership at Randall Reilly found it difficult for the data side of the business and the talent acquisition side of the business to grow at the pace it needed to. In April 2023 the board decided to strategically separate the data side from the talent acquisition side.

How would they do this? What would the new company name be? How do they separate the companies without hurting each side and causing confusion in the market?

Project Goals

  • Develop the new company name, branding, messaging, etc.
  • Create a go-to-market strategy for launching the new company.
  • Communicate changes internally and externally.
  • Set up new company marketing accounts and split marketing platforms like HubSpot.

Solution

After spending months researching each market’s past, current, and future state, it was best to split the data side of the business into it’s own company while keeping Randall Reilly a talent acquisition focused business.

The ultimate solution for this project was to:

    1. SIMPLIFY each company
    2. FOCUS on each of the company’s strengths
    3. CLARIFY each company’s value
